Job Overview

ONUS Robotic Multi-Specialty Hospitals is looking for a qualified MRI Technician to join our Radiology Department. The successful candidate will operate MRI scanners to create diagnostic images and ensure the highest quality patient care throughout the imaging process.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
  2. Screen patients for MRI safety contraindications and metal implants
  3. Position patients correctly for optimal imaging results
  4. Select appropriate imaging protocols based on physician orders
  5. Monitor patients during MRI procedures and ensure their comfort
  6. Maintain MRI equipment and perform quality control checks
  7. Process and transfer images to PACS system
  8. Maintain detailed records and documentation
  9. Follow all safety protocols and radiation protection measures
  10. Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians

Required Qualifications

  1. Diploma or Degree in Radiography/Medical Imaging Technology
  2. Minimum 2-4 years of experience as an MRI Technician
  3. Valid license/certification in Medical Imaging (if applicable)
  4. In-depth knowledge of MRI safety protocols
  5. Understanding of cross-sectional anatomy
  6. Proficiency in MRI imaging techniques and protocols
  7. Strong patient communication skills
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Technical Skills Required

  1. Experience with 1.5T and/or 3T MRI scanners
  2. Knowledge of various MRI sequences (T1, T2, FLAIR, DWI, etc.)
  3. Familiarity with contrast agent administration
  4. Understanding of MRI safety zones and screening procedures
  5. Basic troubleshooting skills for MRI equipment
  6. Computer proficiency for image processing and PACS

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Advanced certification in MRI Technology
  2. Experience with cardiac MRI and MR angiography
  3. Knowledge of pediatric MRI protocols
  4. Experience with sedation protocols for MRI
  5. BLS/ACLS certification

Work Environment

This position requires working in a hospital radiology department with exposure to magnetic fields. Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods and assist in patient positioning. Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
