Telmisartan, sold under the brand name Micardis, among others, is a medicine used to treat high blood pressure, heart failure, and diabetic kidney disease. This is a reasonable initial treatment for high blood pressure. It’s taken by the mouth.
Telmisartan Uses
Used for the treatment of high blood pressure ( hypertension).
Helps prevent stroke, heart attack and kidney problems.

How to Use Telmisartan
Always read the Patient Information leaflet provided by your pharmacist before starting telmisartan and each time you get a refill.
Take by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor, usually once a day.
Dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment.
Use this medicine regularly for maximum benefit. Take it at the same time each day.
It may take up to 4 weeks to get the full benefit for high blood pressure treatment.

Precautions for Telmisartan Medicine
